Course Summary
OUR TRAINING PROCESS & METHODOLOGY:
Cases are allotted as per candidates experience & calibre
The course covers Exodontia and Minor Oral Surgeries such as: Impactions, Surgical Extractions, Alveoloplasty, Endo Surgeries, etc
Followed by Theory Sessions, ADA provides Hands-on Training, Live Demos and On-patient trainings
On correlating the skills & competency required for executing clinical procedures, each candidate will be assigned with 40 to 50 dental cases
To sum up: Case Discussions, Formative and Cumulative Assessments play a key role during the course curriculum to validate the quality of learning
COURSE PREREQUISITES:
For better and easy understanding of the subject, it is advised that each candidate shall study about minor oral surgical procedures, principles of surgical instruments, post-surgical management manuals, nursing principles, BLS, suture techniques, dental emergencies etc from– Malamed, Laskin, Cruger and Basic Surgical Protocol manuals.
Important Note: Surgery needs “Lions heart, eagles eye and Ladies fingers.” ADA recommends this course only to the passionate and dedicated doctors who have steep inclination towards surgery. Depending upon your skill and ability to handle risks, mentors will allot the cases to avoid uncertainties.
TRAINING SESSION DETAILS
Covering basic fundamentals and guiding principles, the first week of the program will be of complete theoretical classes and hands-on training followed by On-patient training. On-table personal mentorship sessions will be conducted daily before initiating the case. Each participant will be given 40 Extractions, 6 Impactions, 10 transalveolar extractions and other surgeries depending upon the availability of the cases.
